For the “Athletes as Artists” series, Jesse F. Berry has attempted to capture multi-talented athletes as they engage in artistic pursuits and artists engaging in various forms of athleticism. Writers, painters, musicians, and even photographers are frequently found displaying their athletic prowess on golf links, tennis courts, football fields, baseball diamonds and other venues far removed from their artistic studios. As a Photo Artist he has a passion for, and years of practice photographing unique domestic and international landscapes. The recently formed Photo Arts Division of JB Enterprises focuses on capturing the unique beauty found in the great outdoors. Jesse has photographed the centuries old Sphinx and pyramids in Egypt, the snowy caps of the Rocky Mountains and the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. He has photographed the wilds of Africa’s Masai Mara including a lion commanding his pride, dancing pink flamingoes in the Ngorongoro Caldera, and snapped away as a cheetah chased and captured a Thompson gazelle then called her babies to feast on the remains.Closer to home, he has captured the scenic wonders of kayakers challenging the rapids on the Potomac River in the summer and the autumnal foliage in thefall. His Nikon D70 has captured soft clouds of cherry blossoms around the tidal basin and the floral beauty of water lilies at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens inWashington, DC.
